What stays on your device
Saahir is designed so that the data the app generates lives on your device, under your control. This includes:
- All network-filtering decisions Saahir makes.
- Any DNS query records or block-list activity Saahir surfaces.
- Your filter rules, preferences, and app settings.
None of the above is transmitted to AL-BIRR MTA, LLC or any third party as part of normal app use.
When recording starts
After a restart, Saahir starts recording at your first unlock. Activity before that first unlock isn’t recorded. This is a limit of how iOS protects data before the first unlock, not a choice about what to capture — and we’d rather tell you than let you assume the history is complete.
What we collect from the app
Nothing, by default. Saahir is built to make filtering decisions on-device without sending data to our servers. Specific exceptions are limited to:
- Crash diagnostics via Apple MetricKit. This is an iOS-provided service that respects Apple’s privacy controls. We do not use any third-party crash reporting or analytics SDK.
- Anything you explicitly send us — for example, a support email you write to support@saahir.app. That goes to our email inbox; nothing more.
What runs on our servers
Very little, by design. Our backend runs on Cloudflare Workers and does the following:
- Serves the tracker blocklist — the same anonymous list of known trackers for every user, which the app downloads periodically. The download carries nothing about you.
- Receives reports you explicitly send. If you tap “Report” on a broken app, we receive exactly two values — the domain involved and the reporting app’s bundle identifier — and nothing else: no user identifier, no device ID, no timestamp from your device, no location. The app shows you both values before you send.
- Will proxy AI tracker explanations for Saahir Privacy Plus subscribers when the “Explain” feature ships in a later update. Tapping a domain will send four things — all facts about the domain, nothing about your activity: the domain itself, the company we identified behind it, its category (like advertising or analytics), and a plan flag so the model can tune its answer. Nothing else — no account, no device ID, no location, no timestamps, no counts of your usage — and each request is deleted within 24 hours.
Subscriptions are not our backend’s business. Your subscription is verified on-device by Apple’s StoreKit — no server call to us, for either plan.
Saahir Privacy BYOK subscribers who supply their own Anthropic API key: when AI explanations ship, your LLM calls will go directly from your device to Anthropic using your own key — our backend is never in the path of BYOK LLM traffic.
Website hosting: this page is hosted on Cloudflare (their privacy policy applies to the hosting layer). Email sent to our contact addresses is routed through Cloudflare Email Routing to a private mailbox.
What we do not do
- We do not use third-party analytics or telemetry SDKs in the app.
- We do not use advertising SDKs.
- We do not sell, rent, share, or monetize user data. The product will be funded by paid plans, not by your information.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
Saahir Test Prep
Available now on the App Store
Nothing is collected. Saahir Test Prep does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. The app has no backend, no accounts, and no analytics.
Your study data — progress, attempt history, flashcard schedules, and practice-exam results — is stored on your device only, using Apple’s local Core Data storage; it never leaves your device.
Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit in-app purchase. No payment information reaches AL-BIRR MTA, LLC.
There are no third-party SDKs of any kind in the app — no analytics, advertising, tracking, or social frameworks.

This statement may evolve as products launch and change. For each app, the version published with its App Store release is the binding one; we will note material changes prominently.
